Additionally, Mrs. C. suffered secondary exposure through the employment of her father, William B., who was employed as a steel worker from 1927 to 1946 at Inland Steel. The complaint also alleges secondary exposure through her husband, Joseph C., who worked as a laborer from 1950 to 1979 at various sites, including the Standard Oil Company. Mrs. C. was also exposed to asbestos products through the performance of renovation work on her home in the 1950s through the 1970s according to the complaint.
