On June 8, 2010, Cooney & Conway filed suit on behalf of the estate of Charles H. in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Ill. The complaint states that Mr. H. suffered from mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos while working as a maintenance mechanic from 1949 to 1979 in Illinois. Throughout the course of his employment, Mr. H. was exposed to asbestos-containing products while working at various jobsites, including Argonne National Laboratories and Western Electric Company. In addition, Mr. H. was exposed to asbestos products through the performance of personal automotive repairs and renovation work on his homes from the 1950s through the 1970s.
