On June 18, 2010, Cooney & Conway filed suit on behalf of Larry B. in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Ill. The complaint states that Mr. B. suffers from mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos while working as a laborer, welder, and pipefitter from 1957 to 1979 at various locations in Illinois and Indiana. Throughout the course of his employment, Mr. B. was exposed to asbestos-containing products at numerous jobsites, including the University of Illinois, Baltimore Air Coil, Cabot Chemical Plant, Kraft Foods, and Chanute Air Force Base. Additionally, Mr. B. worked with asbestos-containing products while he performed home maintenance and renovation work in the 1960s and 1970s.
