Cooney and Conway filed suit on behalf of Frederick R. in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Il on June 2, 2010. The complaint states that Mr. R. suffers from mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos while working as a lab technician, production manager, and quality control manager from 1956 to 1979 throughout the United States, including New Jersey, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois. Throughout the course of his employment, Mr. R. was exposed to asbestos-containing products while working at jobsites including Curtis Wright Company, RCA Record Company, Onyx Corporation, and Stephan Chemical. Additionally, Mr. R. was exposed to asbestos-containing products while performing automotive repairs and personal home renovation projects in the 1960s and 1970s.
