On June 18, 2010, Cooney & Conway filed suit on behalf of Mark D. in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Ill. The complaint states that Mr. D. suffers from mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos while working as a pipefitter and HVAC installer from 1955 to 1979 in Canada, and in Illinois and Michigan. Throughout the course of his employment, Mr. D. was exposed to asbestos-containing products while working at various jobsites, including A.O. Smith, Chrysler, and Care Heating. Additionally, Mr. D. was exposed to asbestos-containing products through the performance of home renovation projects from 1949 to 1979 and personal automobile repairs from 1968 to 1979.
